MEETINGS

Our meetings are held at the FASHION INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, 27th Street and 8th Avenue, Bldg. "A", Faculty Lounge, 8th Floor

Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
Program begins at 6:15 p.m.

Guest Fee: $5.00
(for non-members)

Our meetings are our time to come together and share our passion for beads. We listen to and talk with wonderful, inspiring speakers; we share our own work with each other (completed and in-progress); we sign up for workshops; we have fun. And we always welcome newcomers!

NEXT MEETING: Wednesday, June 25, 2008

Tips & Tricks

What a great opportunity to see how it's done! Thanks to member volunteers, you will get to watch those techniques you may have wanted to learn. See demos of Spirals: regular and dutch; Right Angle; Herringbone; Bead Crochet; Pearl Knotting; Wire Work; Chain Maille and much more.

Have a color question? Bring in your beadwork sample for a consultation with one of our volunteers. We'll also be hosting a demonstration of Ferido, a new product presented at the recent MJSA show.

We hope this evening will inspire you through the summer months ahead.

BIG  APPLE GLASS ART & BEAD FESTIVAL  NEWS

The Big Apple Festival, October 17-19, is coming back for its third year. The Soft Flex Company again will be presenting this 3 day event in association with the Bead Society of Greater New York. As well as volunteers for the entrance and BSGNY info tables, we will need volunteers at the Make-it-Take-it section of the show. Look for e-mail updates during the  summer.

There will be a volunteer signup table at the June meeting or you can e-mail us your preferences at info@nybead.org or leave a message on our phone: 212-591-1127.
